With funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, CAST is currently convening a a new network of support for nonprofits. This will be in place in its current form for at least two years (until the summer of 2026), although we hope and expect to be connected for much longer.
The network comprises seven initiatives: Agencies for Good, Design Hops, Digital Candle, Digital Leads Network, Digital Trustees, Dovetail and The Curve - as well as a reuse infrastructure strand, providing support to enable reuse of open, sector owned technologies. We will be working together to align activities so that as many people as possible can benefit from all initiatives.
A little more detail about each of the initiatives:
- Digital Candle: A platform offering free, one-hour consultations with digital experts to help charities tackle digital challenges.
- Digital Trustees: Aims to match charities with digital experts who can serve as trustees, helping to bring a digital perspective to board-level decision-making.
- Design Hops: A seven-week online programme focused on teaching innovative digital techniques, helping organisations to explore and develop digital solutions.
- The Curve: 90-minute workshops provide practical, hands-on training sessions for charities looking to build their digital skills.
- Dovetail: A network that fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among digital professionals and charities.
- Digital Leads Network: Aimed at supporting those leading digital projects within their organisations, offering peer support and resources to drive digital transformation.
- Agencies for Good: A collaboration platform that connects digital agencies with charities to foster ethical, impactful partnerships.
- Reuse Infrastructure: Create the structures that enable civil society organisations to reuse best-in-class ethical technology and sector-developed research, insight and assets, and, to support them to contribute towards shared this collective ambition.
